I found Neil Olivers History of Ancient Britain a fascinating read.
Who were the first Britons, and what sort of world did they occupy? In A
HISTORY OF ANCIENT BRITAIN Neil Oliver turns a spotlight on the very
beginnings of the story of Britain; on the first people to occupy these
islands and their battle for survival.
There has been human habitation in Britain, regularly interrupted by Ice
Ages, for the best part of a million years. The last retreat of the
glaciers 12,000 years ago brought a new and warmer age and with it, one
of the greatest tsunamis recorded on Earth which struck the north-east
of Britain, devastating the population and flooding the low-lying
plains of what is now the North Sea. The resulting island became, in
time, home to a diverse range of cultures and peoples who have left
behind them some of the most extraordinary and enigmatic monuments in
the world.
Through what is revealed by the artefacts of the past, Neil Oliver
weaves the epic story - half -a-million years of human history up to the
departure of the Roman Empire in the Fifth Century AD. It was a period
which accounts for more than ninety-nine per cent of humankind's
presence on these islands.
I'm reading this at the moment and finding it really enjoyable, there was a TV series to go with it and I might try and download that.

Congratulations! Joshua's a total cutie!

I agree Chalie City of Glass is the best one so far.
Have taken a break from the series and started The Wasp Factory - Iain Banks, not sure what to make of it yet though.

I'm now half way through A City of Glass by Cassandra Clare, I think this may be the best in the series so far..
I'm reading this as well. I'm going through the series so fast! My mojo doesn't know where to put itself.

Nearly finished The Lady of the Rivers by Philippa Gregory. I think I like it better than The White Queen, the romance side of it seems a bit more real.

Watched We're the Millers yesterday and really enjoyed it.

Finished The White Queen and was annoyed that I've read out of sequence, it was good though I did think it dragged a bit in the middle. Have started The Restaurant of Love Regained by Ito Ogawa which will hopefully be a nice light read.

Hot, strong coffee.

I got 3 and two of those were guesses.

I finished The Long War and am going to start The White Queen by Philippa Gregory. I hope I like it as I bought the first 4 books as a bundle. I liked The Other Queen when I read it a few years ago though so I don't see why I wouldn't like these.
